Just a word about safety before attempting any Brickwork.

There are any number of websites that cater for safety issues.
Please familiarise yourself with safety.
Always read any safety literature that comes with your products.

Wear eye protection, especially when using hammers or chisels.

Be careful when lifting bags of cement or lime, they weigh 20Kg, sometimes more.

Dont breath in the dust of cement or lime.

Splashes of lime or mortar that contains lime into the eye is extremely painful.
Flush out with plenty of water.

Cement and lime can irritate your skin.

If you have to work at any height above 2 Metres, use scaffold and not ladders.
Scaffold is worth the expense and can be hired from any number of hire places for a day or two.
A fall from even 2 Metres can be fatal.
